Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North Hotel, Tokyo

Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although spacious for Tokyo standards with excellent facilities, had a slightly humid smell which was a downside. The location was very convenient near Ueno Station, but a bit far from the Narita Express station. The service was accommodating and English-speaking, yet not as lovely as in other branches. The dining was different than expected and included in the price. Overall, a decent stay with its ups and downs.

My stay at the hotel was delightful overall. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, although not soundproof. The staff provided exceptional service throughout my time there, even though we couldn't speak Japanese. The location, while a bit inconvenient for some, was good for an early departure by train in the morning. The dining experience was different but satisfactory, and the facilities offered met my needs.

The hotel was one of the most spacious we had during our 2-week trip, comfortably fitting 4 people, although not soundproof as expected for Tokyo standards. The service was very helpful, with friendly staff readily assisting with inquiries and accommodating in finding us a new room while not refilling the water bottle. The location was excellent for our stay with 2 small children, being very convenient with Ueno JR station just a 5-minute walk away and offering easy access to Tokyo's northern areas by train. The dining experience, although different than expected, featured traditional Marche products within the price. Overall, the hotel offered a great value for money despite a few shortcomings.
